VerifiGlobal Performance Verification Protocol

The VerifiGlobal Performance Verification Protocol (PVP) provides guidance for verifications performed by VerifiGlobal Alliance members. The PVP is consistent with the new ISO standard for ETV, ISO 14034.

1. Applicant Information

1.1 Applicant name(s), address(es) and physical location(s)

 

2. Technology Description

2.1 Unique identifier for the technology (e.g., a commercial name, an identification number or applicable version)

 

3. Information about the intended application of the technology

 

Note: More than one technology purpose, type of material, and measurable property can be provided. 

3.1 Purpose of the technology

 

3.2 Type of material for which the technology is intended

 

3.3 Measurable property affected by the technology and the way in which it is affected

 

3.4 Sufficient information to understand the operation and performance of the technology

 

3.4 Development status of the technology and its readiness for market

 

Note: Technology shall be either already available on the market or available at least at a stage where no substantial change affecting its performance would be implemented before market entry.

 

3.5 Information on relevant alternatives of the technology, including relevant performance and environmental impacts

 

3.6 Information on significant environmental impacts of the technology proposed for verification and its environmental added value, if applicable

 

3.7 Confirmation that the technology fulfills the definition of environmental technology

 

4. Operational aspects

7.4 Confirmation that the performance parameters are relevant and sufficient for verification of the performance of the technology, and its environmental added value

7.6 Confirmation that the performance parameters and numerical values were verified under set operating conditions, using existing verification plans and relevant technical references, including standardized testing methods, preferably based on international standards

8.1 Confirmation that relevant test data and the methods for acquiring these data were provided to support the performance claim

 

8.2 Confirmation of the specifications and requirements for the test data, including quality and quantity and testing conditions

 

8.3 Description of the methods used for assessment of the test data and their quality

 

8.4 Confirmation that the data are at a quality level generally accepted by the scientific community for the technology and/or the industrial sector concerned

 

8.5 Confirmation that the data are of sufficient quality in terms of reproducibility, repeatability, ranges of confidence, accuracy, and uncertainties

 

8.6 Review of other relevant technical references, such as other existing verification plans, applicable legislation, standardized test methods, and international standards

 

8.7 Review of information provided to explain deviations from the test plan

 

9. Verification

9.1 Assessment of the test data against the performance parameters specified in the verification plan and/or performance claim

 

9.2 Confirmation that the test data proves that the performance of the technology was achieved under the same conditions, constraints, and limitations as those that were specified

 

9.3 Confirmation that the performance claims are verified as originally stated

 

9.4 If the performance claims were not verified as originally stated, a recommendation as to how they should be modified
